[Update] Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD is making the leap to Vita this week
Updated on December 17th 2014 at 15:40: Well, that was quick. Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD is out on PS Vita right now.

You can purchase it on the PSN Store for $9.99 (about £6.99).

Original story follows...

Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD is coming to PS Vita this week. Unfortunately, an exact date wasn't issued, but it'll be this week for sure.

It's the same HD version of the game that was released on PS3 a couple of years ago. It comes with tightened controls and enhanced graphics.

There's no word as to whether cross-buy is in place, though. We imagine it will be, meaning that if you already bought it on PS3 then you won't have to pay any more for it on Vita.

Munch's Oddysee is the first 3D game in the Oddworld series. It features two main characters: the lovable Abe the Mudokkon, and a new character called Munch.

Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD

Munch is the last of the Gabbits, and so his mission is to rescue the last batch of Gabbiar (Gabbit eggs) before it's eaten.

This involves travelling to Vykkers Labs and bankrupting the CEOs of the pharmaceutical company running it.

The game plays as you'd expect a 3D action platformer to, mostly. You run, jump, and sneak around, in other words.
