There's only Zelda... for now

Much as they'll display the other new releases on their shelves, we suspect retailers up and down the country this week will focus solely on the astounding Phantom Hourglass.

That's the power of The Legend of Zelda.

But then, we've been sat typing in our green Link suits all month, eagerly awaiting for this moment. So we know all about the effect Nintendo's hugely popular franchise can have.

Equally, we're not entirely blinded by the phenomenon. As such, it hasn't escaped our attention that while DS undoubtedly has the spotlight this week, in seven day's time the situation is very much reversed, with some hard-hitting PSP titles battling for centre stage.

And so it is likely to continue, until the dust of the Christmas commercial countdown has settled.
