PSP to get PVR function in new firmware update
ver3.80 coming on December 18th
Sony Japan has confirmed the next firmware update will enable its PSP owners to record programmes when using the 1seg TV Tuner. Content can be selected for recording, with the PSP going into sleep mode once it's finished doing so (this is obviously optional).
Also on its way for the Japanese market is an internet radio player, reports Eurogamer, amongst one of two other minor things.
There are no details yet as to which services we can expect for Europe (or indeed North America) but the firmware update is due for global availability on December 18th.
