You can't keep the internet down. While Sony's PS3 firmware update on Tuesday (which coincided with the PSP's own update to ver3.80) focused heavily on improved Blu-ray features, owners have since found out that also included is the ability to play PSone games on PSP via Remote Play. And they've been busy spreading the word online.

This effectively means that any PSone title purchased from the PlayStation Store and downloaded onto the PS3's hard drive can now be accessed through the PSP wherever you happen to be, provided both consoles are online via wi-fi. Obviously.

More limited, though nevertheless worth mentioning, this will also work with any PSone disc you happen to have spinning happily in the PS3's drive.
