Monster Hunter Tri 3G dated, Monster Hunter 4 revealed, Circle Pad accessory quietly priced
Monster Mash
At its pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata revealed more details on the upcoming 3DS game Monster Hunter Tri 3G and announced the all-new Monster Hunter 4.
Details on Monster Hunter 4 were scarce, to say the least, but Monster Hunter Tri 3G was given a Japanese release date of December 10th. It's unknown whether it’ll be released simultaneously in the rest of the world, though.
Nintendo is hoping that the 3D elements that the 3DS will bring to the domestically über-popular Monster Hunter franchise will help to revive interest in the reeling handheld.
Ever Decreasing CirclesOne more thing...
Last week, the internet was abuzz with news of the 3DS Circle Pad add-on, which we considered both degrading and a telling sign that the 3DS was launched too early.
After the conference was over, Nintendo quietly announced that the price of this accessory would be 10,000 yen and it would be launched on December 10th, along with the compatible Monster Hunter Tri 3G.
