Monopoly Go! Chat launches today for iOS and Android in the US

- It previously launched for regions such as France, but is now available in the US
While it may be April Fool's (and believe me, we're closely watching our inbox for the unbelievable and fantastic), there are still some major, legit launches coming today. In this case, it's Monopoly Go!'s new companion app, Monopoly Go! Chat that's now available in more regions, such as the US, for iOS and Android.
If you're not already familiar from our initial coverage, then let me fill you in. Monopoly Go! Chat does as it says on the tin and lets you connect with other players as well as coordinating your efforts in multiplayer events such as Racers or mini-games.
The purpose of this app is obviously to facilitate the more social aspects of Monopoly Go! such as Sticker trades, or helping you work together to overcome community challenges. You'll even be able to get your point across with a suite of unlockable Monopoly Go! emojis to accompany your chats.
Don't make a fool out of me
This isn't the first time we've seen an app like this, not by a long shot. I'm sure most of you are aware of Campfire, a similar social app for Pokémon Go. But I also think that the appeal of this sort of app is a bit niche, given that most people probably communicate by Discord or other platforms already.However, I do think there's a legitimate case to be made for older players (or those that simply don't want to engage with the aforementioned platforms) looking for a curated space to communicate with other players. So, more power to 'em, I say.
