LucasArts has slashed the price of acclaimed adventure game Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck's Revenge, making the iPhone and iPod touch version a measly 59p/99c.

While it was a good deal at £4.99/$7.99 given its first class gameplay, the sale price is a veritable steal.

It's a highly recommended purchase if you haven't already downloaded the game, which earned a coveted platinum award when it was released in July.

Pointing out the game's expansive set of features, colourful remastered presentation, and hilarious writing, our review was a rousing call for anyone in search of a good, fun game to pick it up.

LucasArts is only dropping the price of the iPhone and iPod touch version of the game at this time, leaving the more robust iPad version with its higher resolution graphics and audio commentary tracks at the full £5.99/$9.99 price tag.
