Twin-stick shooter Meteor Blitz HD out now for iPad
iPhone game on sale to celebrate

Geometry Wars and Super Stardust HD-styled twin-stick blaster, Meteor Blitz, has made the transition from iPhone to iPad with a supersized HD edition.
The game has you destroying comets and enemies using a variety of weapons, as well as a gravity gun-styled attack that enables you to grab smashed up rocks and unsuspecting enemies, then hurl them back into the battle.
You'll also get a chance to upgrade your ship's speed and weapons between levels, in an RPG-esque level-up system. Your current global ranking is always displayed, in real-time, on-screen so you'll always known how awesome you are.
I had a chance to try it out earlier, and it's a very slick, lightning fast game that's really fun to control. It certainly gives the official Geometry Wars iPad game a run for its money. Customisable controls would be nice, and are confirmed for the game's next update.
Meteor Blitz HD is available now for iPad for £2.99 / $4.99 / €3.99.
To celebrate the HD release, developer Alley Labs has dropped the price of the original iPhone game, Meteor Blitz, to 59p / 99c / €0.79c. It's got an update too, which should make the game faster and smoother, while making it look better too. Magic.
