Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D delayed, now coming in 2012

Is it just us or does it feel like every upcoming Nintendo 3DS blockbuster is getting delayed or cancelled?

After Capcom's Mega Man Legends 3 was definitively canned last week, and Super Pokemon Rumble was postponed in Japan until next month, here's another bit of bad news for 3DS gamers.

Konami confirmed with Eurogamer this morning that Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D will no longer be out by the end of this year.

Instead, we're looking at a release sometime in 2012. Perhaps Konami decided to take on board some of the criticism Pocket Gamer laid on the game during our recent preview:

"While the spirit of the original is very much intact, unless some changes to the controls are made before its release later this year, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D may just end up eating its own tail."
