Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops PSP demo available for download

You may not be able to buy MGS Portable Ops until May 25th (its new date following a disappointing blunder), but at least you can play it now.

Well, some of it. Konami has revealed that a free downloadable demo of the game is now available on Sony's official PSP site.

The demo offers a taste of the full game's offline multiplayer mode. Showcasing Portable Ops' Deathmatch option, the one-map demo is a case of 'every man for himself' as up to six players score points for taking out opponents.

The winner is the player with the most hits within the time limit, with double points awarded to the victor in the following round. However, players toppling the current leader are awarded triple points, thus ensuring constantly frenetic battles, and acting as the ideal introduction to the full online and offline modes in the finished game.
