Marvel Super War, a super-powered MOBA, will have a second beta test in November for selected regions

Marvel Super War is NetEase's latest venture into the MOBA realm. As you'll guess from the name it'll have all of your favourite Marvel heroes and villains as playable characters to take into 5v5 matches. It's probably still a while away from being available in most of the world though as its second beta test will begin on the 21st November in selected counties.

Those countries will be India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. The first beta included those same countries with the exception of Singapore, so the countries involved are slowly expanding.

As for the game itself, it's pretty much what you might expect when you hear there's going to be a Marvel MOBA. You'll be able to pick from a roster of heroes and villains from across the large catalogue of different Marvel series' and then do battle whilst knocking down towers and ultimately destroying your opponent's base.

The roster they've revealed so far includes the big hitters like Thor, Hulk and Captain Marvel. But it also has a few of the lesser-known characters – to me at least – like Jubilee. Then there are also villains you can play as such as the Maw and Proxima Midnight so you're not stuck being a good character if that isn't your style.

It looks to be pretty fun from the early glimpses of gameplay we've seen. I am interested to see how the powerful draw Marvel has because of the MCU will compete with the gargantuan MOBA that is League of Legends when that makes its way over to mobiles next year. It may not even come to that of course, depending on how Marvel Super War is received.

Marvel Super War is available for pre-register now on Google Play if you live in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. The 2nd beta test will start on 21st November for those regions whilst the rest of the world will have to wait for more news in future.
