Match-three alien scum flicker Linkoidz to get on-device iPad multiplayer mode

Demonstrating an interesting twist on the match-three actioneer with its frantic gameplay and colourful galactic artwork, Retro Dreamer's Linkoidz was a Pocket Gamer bronze award winner.

Reviewer Richard reckoned, "A blend of arcade pace and tactical nuance makes Linkoidz an innovative match-three puzzler, which is notable in and of itself".

And now it's getting another interesting twist with the arrival of an on-device Versus multiplayer mode for the iPad.

Making things slightly more complicated is the fact that the game is a universal app, but Retro Dreamer tells us the mode will only been enabled if you're playing on the larger device.

The update has been submitted, and hopefully should be out before the end of 2010. You can see how it plays in the following video.
