Arty XBLA platformer Limbo has a date with PS Vita
It's next week
Danish developer Playdead has announced that its acclaimed indie game Limbo will surface on PlayStation Vita next week.
First released in 2010 for Xbox Live Arcade, Limbo is an atmospheric platformer with stark black-and-white visuals and a deeply unsettling atmosphere.
The game stars a little boy who's on the hunt for his missing sister. He creeps through dark forests, mechanical factories, and crumbling cities. All the while, he's solving all manner of environmental puzzles.
But the game's primary outcome is not success - it's death.
You see, almost everything in the game will result in your hero shuffling off this mortal coil, often in some grisly fashion. It's all about learning from those mistakes.
Limbo will go live in the PlayStation Store on June 5th in the US, and on June 6th in Europe. It will cost £9.99 / $14.99, and if it's anything like its console counterpart, it will be worth every penny.
