Given it's very ruddy chilly outside today, it seems appropriate to have a quick look at Last Inua.

This forthcoming platform adventure is set in the icy mythical "North", which is under attack by an ancient demon called Tonrar.

To completely reign over the North, Tonrar needs to exterminate a young boy with supernatural abilities called Hiko. Fortunately, Hiko has a protective father, Ataataq, looking after him.

You'll have the tricky job of controlling both Ataataq and Hiko in Last Inua. They both have different abilities needed to traverse the icy environment, you see.

Ataataq is strong, so can punch blocks of ice out of the way and use his ice axes to climb across ceilings and up walls.

On the other hand, Hiko's supernatural abilities enable him to warp through the air and to walk across spirit paths.

Along the way, the pair will have to overcome Yetis, deadly drops into endless pits, and other ice demons (such as the huge polar bear visible in the trailer above).

The journey will naturally bring the father and son close together. It's a story of fragility and emotion.

Last Inua will surface on iPad and iPhone in Q1 2014. It will be available on PC afterwards.
