Langrisser is bringing classic tactical JRPG combat to mobile, and it's a fantastically fun experience. You can collect loads of heroes and engage with a long, interesting story in the Langrisser world.

This is on top of a great Time Rift mode, which will play you through a slightly shortened version of the Langrisser story. Sound good? It should, because this is the best turn based strategy I've played in a while.

Langrisser is loads of fun, and gets even more fun if you have a powerful, dominating party. Below, you'll find everything you need to know about getting your power up in Langrisser Mobile, and how you can dominate your opponents. What are you waiting for? Read on and level up.

Important equipment

Your equipment will be the first thing you'll want to edit when you get a character that you want to put in your team. Just a few pieces of gear can make all the difference, after all. Though, you won't even get access to gear until you level up a bit.

But once you get that access, you should use everything you have at every moment. Choose the party members you're most likely to use in battle first, and give them the strongest gear they can take. You can even use the "Forge" option on gear to fuse gear with duplicates, or with special items to enhance the item level.

You can already see how the gear ends up becoming an essential part of every character, which is why you should use your Friendship Tickets to do summons - cross your fingers for the new heroes, but the gear is just as valuable!

The Quick Equip option automatically gives your character the strongest gear you have available, so feel free to use that, and make sure high ranking gear pieces have been given a level boost to make them even more useful.

Levelling up

Like I said, you'll need to level up just to make sure you can even equip gear, and the boost to your overall Power level is pretty valuable too. So, how do we level up, and fast?

Simple, of course: you can do battle. Wait, is that not a very good suggestion? Well it's true - killing enemy units will help you level up. A simple way to spread EXP across your team is by letting distanced fighters attack first, or using them to finish off weak enemies.

Strong fighters will pretty much always be strong, and using them solely to take out the enemies will make your other heroes lag behind. In addition to all this though, EXP potions can be used on your heroes to get them stronger, so use these if ever in a pinch.

2
Soldiers

You can change the soldiers your heroes move with! Did you know this? It's quite neatly hidden away in the hero menus.

When looking at a character's details, there will be a Soldiers option on the right. Here, if unlocked, you can change what kind of soldiers your hero rides with, which can give them more Power or Defence.

Match long range soldiers with long range heroes first.

3
Upgrade class

Your heroes won't be stuck to a single class forever. They will master their classes, taking their newfound abilities with them into new, better classes.

When you have the option to upgrade your hero's class you should absolutely do so. The first upgrade will follow a linear path, before splitting into multiple, new options.

Mastering all six classes will give you permanent stat buffs across all classes, making your character considerably more powerful. Something to aim for with all heroes.

4
Upgrade Stars

Bad news: summoning heroes can result in duplicates. Yeah, I know, annoying. These duplicates are instantly turned into hero card, which you can collect in the background.

What do you need hero cards for once you've already summoned a hero? Simple, they go towards valuable star upgrades.

In case you didn't know, the star rank of each hero will cap it's max potential growth. This means the more stars a hero has, the more powerful they can become.

You'll need 20 cards to go from star one to two, 30 from two to three, and 50 from three to four - and it only gets higher from there. Best stock up…
