Minimalist competitive strategy game Kindo (formerly Kingdoms) will be out for iOS on May 7th.

While the name changed recently, the rest of the game has remained with the same initial concept, only slightly expanded upon.

Kindo now has modes that cater to two players playing either locally on the same device, or online via Game Center. There's also a single player mode with three levels of AI difficulty.

The idea, as always, is to take over your opponent's territory on a grid. It's played by turns, each of you taking two at a time, trying to capture as many tiles as possible. You win by placing a tile on your opponent's king.

It should give us plenty of hours of careful consideration and tactical sabotage when it lands next month.

Find out more about Kindo on its website.
