It seems like forever ago when I first got my hands on the demo for Is This Seat Taken?, and a full two months ago when the release window was dropped. The wait is over though as developer Poti Poti Studio has finally launched the cosy puzzler, which means I can officially obsess over pleasing every single person in the room on my epic quest to become an actor.
Of course, that doesn't exactly reflect my own hopes and dreams IRL, but it's protagonist Nat's goal in their lovely little rhombus shape, and it's up to you and me to make sure they achieve their dreams.
There's a slight hiccup though - on the road to stardom, you'll encounter a cast of quirky characters that each has their own tastes and pet peeves, so you'll need to play matchmaker and make sure everyone is seated where they want to be seated.
Whether that means seating someone with a gigantic hat in the back row of the cinema or making sure that guy who didn't shower for a week stays well away from a sensitive Karen on the bus, you'll need to fulfil everyone's desires at your own pace.
There are no leaderboards or timers here though, so with the charming art style and heartwarming narrative, I'd say it's bound to be a cosy enough ride.
