On Monday, Apple's Scott Forstall stood on stage at his company's annual WWDC event and announced iOS 6 - the latest iteration of Apple's mobile operating system.

On Tuesday, veteran iOS hacker MuscleNerd managed to jailbreak it, in spite of it only being available to registered developers for a few hours.

You shouldn't throw a party just yet, though: iOS 6 is, of course, at least a few months away from an official release.

Plus, a beta release of MuscleNerd's jailbreak is also some way off, with an untethered version expected to arrive even later.
