Grapple-hook obsessed developer Rocketcat Games, previously known for Hook Champ and Super QuickHook, has revealed a third swinging based iPhone game, Hook Swing Worlds.

Rocketcat describes the game as “one last hook-racing style game”, as the developer leaves the genre behind for a top-down shooter/RPG, which will be revealed soon.

Hook Swing Words is a collection of three endless runner-style games, similar in style to Super QuickHook’s Avalanche mode. The aim is to make the game easier than ever for new players to pick up, while also nestling in some new challenges for veteran swingers.

Game number one, Curse of the Death God, is all about hoofing it through jungles, volcanoes, and caves while clutching a stolen idol. Unfortunately, the treasure’s guardian spirit wants it back.

Game number two, Dungeon Gunner, is more action oriented as you blast your way through a dungeon full of enemies with a revolver.

Game number three, CyberGnome 202X, is set in a dystopia future where the Gnome Police rule the land with a totalitarian regime. You play as the one remaining rebel, hoping to break out of the grim future.

While the game is filled with endless modes, it will still have a narrative and possibly unlockable endings. Plus, “we'll also have the usual Rocketcat staples”, says the developer, “of unlockable hats and hooks, dialog, and the return of Early Buyer Exclusive Bonus Content.”

Hook Swing Worlds will be 59p / 99c / €0.79c, when it launches on iPhone and iPod touch.
