Sega announces western release of Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd for PS Vita and PS3

2014 is shaping up to be a banner year for Vocaloid fans outside of Japan.

Sega has announced that the fast and frantic rhythm game Hatsune Miku Project Diva F 2nd will come to fans in Europe and North America this autumn for both the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.

The announcement comes just weeks after Sega released the Pocket Gamer Gold Award-winning rhythm game Hatsune Miku Project Diva f for the Vita.

Sega also confirmed that, unlike the digital-only release of Project Diva f, the Vita version of Project Diva F 2nd will see a packaged and digital release - which is great news for those who like collecting tiny cartridges.

Project Diva F 2nd will contain 40 songs with four degrees of difficulty in its core rhythm game. Edit mode will also make a return, so you can create and share videos featuring your favourite modules.

Sega will release more information about what you can expect from Project Diva F 2nd at E3, and we'll be sure to track it down for you when we head to LA in a few short weeks.

For now, however, you can check out the announcement trailer below.
