Rubicon will return to its roots with upcoming Great Little War Game 2 for iOS and Android

Rubicon Development has posted on Facebook that its full sequel to 2011's Silver Award-winning Great Little War Game will be available on iOS and Android in June.

Aside from the teaser image over there on the right, Rubicon hasn't given anything away about new features or gameplay changes in this forthcoming follow-up.

Rubicon has stated, though, that "GLWG2 is basically the heart of GLWG with the improvements we made in GBWG, optimised for phone play."

"Our first game was a best seller so we're sticking to what we know worked."

Mission possible

The developer has also promised a flat-fee of £1.99 / $2.99 for the 60-mission level game, so no IAPs and no adverts. This marks a return to the premium pricing model for the dev (after its F2P game Combat Monsters).

"GLWG2 is more casual and better suited to playing one handed on your phone whilst riding on the tube," Rubicon says. "[Great Big War Game] is more for hardcore players wanting multiplayer on a tablet and all the trimmings for that."

Rubicon has also promised future work on a sequel for Great Big War Game. For news on that and future updates on Great Little War Game 2, then, watch this space.
