We've been blessed with a good number of enjoyable experiences on the PS Vita since its launch earlier this year. However, while keeping us entertained in the short term is all well and good, it's the long-term appeal of Sony's newest gizmo that will help the handheld pick up speed and much-needed sales.

To that end, Sony needs to keep the release roster hot and heavy, and with gorgeous Japanese adventure game Gravity Rush on the way to the US on June 12th and to the UK on June 13th, the summer is looking very bright indeed for the Vita.

Fortunately, we won't have to wait too long to get a taster of the Gravity Rush experience, for Sony has confirmed to Joystiq that a demo of the game will be made available via the PlayStation Store from May 29th for US gamers and from May 30th for we Europeans.

The game has already been available in Japan for a couple of months - under the name Gravity Daze - where it's received a considerable amount of acclaim from critics and fans alike.

For those not in the know, it has Silent Hill producer Keiichiro Toyama at the reins, and sees you control Kat, a young girl who's lost her memory yet gained the ability to control gravity.

Check out our hands-on with the game to find out more about this hotly anticipated adventure title.
