Back in the 16th and 17th centuries, it wasn’t unusual for a pirate- sorry, ‘privateer’, to use his ill-gotten gains and pillaged gold to set up office in an official capacity.

This buccaneering spirit is what drives the new poker title from Connect2Media, Governor of Poker, as it involves using the ill-gotten gains from the poker table to set up a thriving gambling town in Texas. No sinking of Spanish galleons and making rum though, as far as I can tell.

It’s based on the hit PC game of the same name, which has seen over 10 million prospective town leaders set up shop and lay down bullets on rivers.

We’re looking forward to seeing how this unusual combination of tycoon business/poker hybrid turns out when it sees a release next year.
