Gameloft brings Brazilian sandbox Gangstar Rio: City of Saints to Xperia Play
Gameplay Theft Auto
Gameloft's open-world tale of gang violence and tropical beaches Gangstar Rio: City of Saints on iOS has touched down on the Xperia Play, boasting full support for the Play's physical controls.
In Gangstar Rio: City of Saints, you're cast as a criminal attempting to "go straight", though pretty soon you're jacking cars, maiming pedestrians, and chasing down politicians in a 3D Rio-based sandbox.
So much for going straight, then.
Your criminal connections will even hook you up with an expansive arsenal of lethal weaponry, including long-range rifles, powerful bazookas, and... ummm... an exploding football.
Pros and ex-consOur Gangstar Rio: City of Saints review wasn't exactly glowing. We struggled with the game's ropey touchscreen controls and poor aiming - problems that Xperia Play optimisation is likely to resolve.
Unfortunately, improved controls probably won't do anything for Gangstar Rio: City of Saints's loathsome characters and joyless tone, though.
Gangstar Rio: City of Saints is available now from the Xperia Play launcher for £3.00.
