Fishlabs’s space epic Galaxy on Fire 2 has successfully made its journey across from iPhone to Tegra 2-equipped smartphones (via a quick stop-off on the Xperia Play).
The Pocket Gamer Silver Award-winner’s eye-catching graphics have been revamped for the new hardware, with bump-mapping and higher resolution artwork deployed to ensure it's the best looking version of the game yet.
Galaxy on Fire 2 charts the story of Keith T. Maxwell as he’s thrown across time and space when his ship’s engine suddenly explodes after a battle.
Light years away from home, and penniless to boot, your task is to help him rise up the intergalatic ranks (as it were), fighting, trading, and completing tasks for a range of alien characters.
There are over 100 space stations to discover, as well as a whole stack of equipment and ships to purchase and use, with battles and navigation all taking place in a fully 3D universe.
Galaxy on Fire 2 THD is available now on the Android Market and Tegra Zone as a free download, but you'll have to pay £8.99 / $14.99 in-app if you want to leave the first system.
