Turn-based tactics gem Frozen Synapse Prime is out now on iPhone and iPad [Update]
Primed and ready (Updated: It's out now)
Double Eleven says that this features everything in the PC and console version, bar multiplayer support.
Original story follows…
Frozen Synapse Prime - the spiffy 3D remake of tactics game Frozen Synapse - will be out later today on iPhone and iPad, says developer Double Eleven.
Frozen Synapse, of course, is the game where you micromanage your troops's every step, movement, and shot as you plan out the next few seconds of a tactical shootout.
Prime replaces the minimalist vector visuals with chunky 3D graphics, turning the little people-shaped glyphs into hulking cyber soldiers made of meat and metal.
This version also adds 3D cameras so you can get a better perspective for planning, and cinematic replays so you can re-watch matches to analyse your strategy for future matches.
We loved it on Vita, saying "Frozen Synapse Prime stands out as a welcoming presence in the complex and slightly fusty strategy genre. It's bright, fast, and still every inch as tactical as you'd expect".
The game will cost £3.99 / $4.99 when it drops sometime today, and needs an iPhone 5, iPad 4, iPad Mini 2, iPod touch 6, or better. It's already out on Android.
