Sony's official PlayStation site has unexpectedly sprung up a product page for flOw on PSP, which indicates the game will be released as a PSP Store download this month.

The game hadn't previously been announced for PSP. It was released as a PS3 download game in April 2007.

A unique type of experience, flOw puts players in control of a series of organisms of different shapes and abilities. These are floated through a serene underwater world and fed up to grow and evolve and enable them to compete with other creatures.

It's essentially the sort of game best avoided if you just want to take your frustrations out on a ragdoll man with a big gun. But perfect for a spot of relaxation to soothing tunes and, on PS3, the game received mostly favourable reviews. It also seems like an obvious game for release on PSP seeing as the translation of its simple controls would be quite straightforward.

Sony's site states the game is for download and the release date is January 2008 (although that seems unlikely unless it pops up today). An ad-hoc mode will support two to four players.

We'll update you when further news materialises.
