Square Enix holds iOS game sale, takes edge off eye-watering £9.49 Final Fantasy III

When Square Enix released Chaos Rings last year it smashed the informal £5.99/$9.99 App Store price barrier, charging £9.49 for the privilege of playing its acclaimed bespoke RPG.

The bad news is that the publisher has repeated the trick with Final Fantasy III, which it released yesterday at the eye-watering price of £9.49.

The good news is that Square Enix has put all of its other iOS games on sale to celebrate Final Fantasy III's launch. You can even pick up Chaos Rings for the bargain price of £3.49 on iPhone and £4.99 on iPad. All of the games in the sale are half price or better until March 31st.
