FIFA Rivals announces new partnership with German club Borussia Dortmund

If there's one thing fans look forward to with any big football release, it's seeing which of the biggest clubs will make an appearance. Now, FIFA Rivals is marking a new partnership with none other than Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund, a historic part of Germany's championship football scene.
Founded back in 1909, Borussia Dortmund (also known as BVB) are well-regarded by German footballing enthusiasts. Now, you'll be able to bring players such as Karim Adeyemi, Nico Schlotterbeck and Daniel Svensson onto the pitch in the iconic black and yellow uniforms of Die Schwarzgelben.
Marking FIFA Rivals' first club partnership, new official in-game kits will be available to collect starting in August. Meanwhile, Rivals is also set to host giveaways and challenges with rewards ranging from in-game BVB collectables to matchday tickets and physical BVB merchandise.

There are also promises that Rivals will bring action to the real-life fans of Borussia Dortmund, with a host of activations (events for us normal people) planned for BVB's FanWelt, their location catering to the massive number of football-mad folks who adore BVB.The decision to partner with Borussia Dortmund is very interesting, considering the historical significance, and the fact that previously the hit clubs of France, Spain and Italy have mostly held sway in the virtual world. For German football fans, an iconic club such as Borussia Dortmund taking the initiative for FIFA Rivals is going to be very welcome, I'll bet.
