The perspective-shifting Fez is finally headed to iOS this year

On the fifth anniversary of its release, a new trailer for the acclaimed indie puzzler Fez reveals that the game is bringing its level-rotating gameplay to the App Store in 2017.

An iOS version was mentioned as early as 2013, but news about the game on mobile has been relatively nonexistent for years.

The enigmatic puzzle platformer takes place in a 2D world shattered by a third dimension, letting you explore and leap through its colorful worlds by rotating environments to reveal other planes. One common example is how leap too far to jump could be shrunk by rotating a level until the platforms are adjacent.

Mysterious ciphers and head-scratching secrets that demand pen and paper to decode expand the story and gameplay beyond the puzzle platforming. There's no release date for Fez beyond "coming soon" this year, so we'll be sure to update you when more concrete details are available.
