Fast & Furious for iPhone launches with YouTube replays
Firemint's Cloudcell tech debuts in I-play racer
We've been very excited about Australian developer Firemint's Cloudcell platform since they unveiled it last year as part of their iPhone game Real Racing.
It's a community platform that lets people upload their best performances to a rankings board, but also link their Cloudcell account to their YouTube account, to upload video replays of their best laps.
Anyway, Real Racing has yet to launch, but Cloudcell is live with a different iPhone game: I-play's Fast & Furious, which is available on the App Store today.
There's a dedicated website for the community around the game, and it's from there that players manage the YouTube elements. Here's a replay of our first go on the game:
Meanwhile, the game also offers Wi-Fi multiplayer, including the 'Pink Slip' feature through which players can nick each other's best cars.
We're genuinely excited about the potential of Cloudcell to build community and give games viral buzz, so it's good to see it live and working.
