Exos Heroes NFTs: What you need to know about LUXON and DESPERADO B218

Sending your valiant heroes on adrenaline-pumping journeys across dangerous lands often requires might and mettle in exchange for bountiful rewards and in-game loot, but what if you could reap those same rewards IRL?

Thanks to developer NERDYSTAR’s very own in-house blockchain platform, LUXON, Exos Heroes players can now receive NFTs provided by DESPERADO B218 (a Crypto offshoot of the Exos Heroes universe); here's everything you need to know about the lucrative collab.

A walk down memory lane with Memorial Crystals

Three years after Zeon and his friends embarked on their journey when Exos Heroes was launched, the game has expressed its thanks to loyal fans with the tradable virtual asset Memorial Crystals. These are essentially NFTs across Season 1 to Season 5, and have their own increasing value in partnership with LUXON and DESPERADO B218.

With these Memorial Crystals in a player's possession, they can gain "Staking Rewards" that basically liken themselves to interest in a savings account or even to a stock dividend. Periodically, "Balance Tokens" will be given out as a reward of "Staking Rewards" - these can then be used to exchange in-game items including currency and growth materials for DESPERADO B218.

Gearing up for Season 6

If you haven't received your Memorial Crystals yet, simply connect your Exos Heroes account with LUXON and check your crystals in "My Inventory". Season 6 Memorial Crystals will also be given out in the future with the Exos X Desperado Collaboration Pass Event, currently running on Exos Heroes, until October 26th.

In particular, you can score tons of rewards simply by completing the Pass battle missions here. You can earn Pass experience points in the Collaboration Pass and increase your Pass Level to nab tiered rewards. You can access this once you clear Story Prologue EP 10. Maxing out your Collaboration Pass lets you apply for the NFT by connecting with a Luxon Account. When selected, the Season 6 Memorial Crystal will be airdropped in groups weekly in limited amounts.

Of multiverses and missing links

The world of Exos Heroes began with the tragic tale of a ruler-turned-tyrant. As the final Emperor of the Baikal Dynasty, Dragon Emperor Accor was sealed by the Grand Master Knights, which led to a series of events that would change the course of history.

It's up to treasure hunter Zeon and his friends to get to the bottom of these events, but unfortunately, the incident known as the Missing Link complicates matters even more for the game's protagonists. Multiverses connected to Exos B218 and DESPERADO B218 come together to discover the truth - which is where your story comes in.

In DESPERADO B218, you will form a team of five heroes and face off against the rift walkers in a series of turn-based rounds. Achieving victory will require careful use of mana and strategic use of your heroes abilities, but each successful battle will be well worth the effort with handsome rewards available for every step you take up the ranks.

What’s more, players will be able to directly impact the management and the development of the game, or vote with tokens to directly influence the game’s future, thanks to DAO - the decentralized organization for 'DESPERADO B218: The Scars of Exos' - where you can contribute to determining the game’s roadmap.

Introducing DESPERADO B218

This decentralized blockchain game welcomes players to the new LUXON platform, where players can prove ownership for possessions on DESPERADO B218. Here, players will be able to dispatch their heroes to assist others, as well as request aid on the flip side.

"LUXON will never force you into a role you don’t want. Whether you want to focus on gameplay, trading, or investing, the choice is yours. Of course, you can also participate in all of the roles above," says the game's official guide. "You, as the user, will determine the roadmap for DESPERADO B218. Crucial elements such as buffing a certain hero’s abilities to determine the expansion of DESPERADO B218 will be decided through LUXON’s DAO."

As for NFT items, these are dubbed "Crystal NFTs" and can be earned by users via the Web2.0-based Exos Heroes or via contributing to the EXOS IP’s expansion. This is also where Memorial Crystals come in as well - these anniversary NFTs can be staked to earn Tokens. You can discover more about the ins and outs of LUXON from the official Litepaper.

For now, if you're keen on learning more, you can download Exos Heroes on the iOS App Store and on the Google Play Store for Android devices. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
