It's coming to Android tablets, too
Substantial Games has treated us all to our first look at the surprisingly elegant gameplay of its multiplayer RTS The Ember Conflict.
Not only that, but developer Substantial Games also announced that The Ember Conflict will be coming to Android on select tablets this autumn. It's still coming to iPad, of course.
Inspired by Autumn Dynasty, The Ember Conflict strips out the rapid clicks and scrolling of games like StarCraft, replacing it with drawing lines with your finger.

Battles are waged in 1v1 or 2v2 servings, and each player contains a handful of units.
With tight, single-screen arenas, the formation of your units becomes very important. It's also a game that requires a lot of concentration to keep an eye on everything at once.
Some arenas add different types of terrain for you to take advantage of, or suffer as your opponent does. So although the interactions are simple, it's still a mighty tactical RTS experience.
Expect The Ember Conflict to arrive on iOS and Android tablets this autumn.
