NIS America has revealed the release date for its upcoming classic JRPG re-jig Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers for 3DS.

If you're not put off by games with that many colons in their title, then you'll want to add September 20th to your diary, because that's when the game is hitting UK shores.

Based on a Sega Saturn game from 1997, Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers is a first-person dungeon-crawler set in a gothic cyberpunk universe where you'll battle with demons.

Or, alternatively, coax them into joining your cause and use them in fights yourself.

There are 30 new demons and a brand-new dungeon in the 3DS version. That means that even if you've played the original, there are going to be a few surprises for you here.

There are some cool in-built StreetPass and Play Coin features here, too. Plus, the extra screen on the 3DS enables you to plot maps and swap difficulty on the fly.

We reviewed the US version of Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers earlier in the year, giving it a Silver Award. We said that "if you can manage to see past its quirks, there's a wonderful world here waiting to be explored".

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers will be available in UK shops on September 20th, and on the eShop on September 25th.
