Destroid feels the heat on iPhone
For those lazy Sun-day afternoons
Like the early '90s movie The Bodyguard, iPhone game Destroid is about looking after a big star.
Enemy ships plunge themselves straight towards the heart of your burning mass, and you need to get rid of them.
Each ship takes a different number of taps to destroy, depending on its colour. Some invaders only need one tap, while others require as many as five.
Special power-ups can also be collected to set off a huge screen-clearing explosion for when things get dire.
It’s a very simple experience, with lovely graphics. If you’re looking for a casual tap-’em-up for long bus rides, you might want to check this out.
