The entire Danganronpa trilogy might, maybe, hopefully be coming to Switch

Danganronpa is one of those series where, if you haven't played it, you're a dang fool and you need to fix that right now, what the hell is wrong with you. It's a horrific visual novel mixed with a detective-esque puzzle game where teenagers kill each other for their own freedom, and it's absolutely brilliant in every possible way.

And even better, the whole thing might be coming to Switch. Nintendo Soup has noticed that over on Amazon Japan, a listing for a Switch edition of the Danganronpa Trilogy has popped up alongside its already-confirmed PS4 release. Supposedly, it's due to hit on March 23rd, around the same time as the PS4 version.

OK, so, yeah, this is probably just a mistake. There's no way that Spike Chunsoft just "forgot" to mention that a Switch version of the series was coming at the same time as the PS4 edition. And with the series having never broken out of Sony's consoles - bar a couple of mobile games and PC ports - it'd be a pretty major thing to surprise drop.

But still! One can be hopeful. Getting the entire series on Switch would be absolutely beautiful - it might even mean a wider audience of players who may have missed out the first time around, and it'll help serve the fans of portable gaming who don't want to break out their Vita.

Personally, having finished all the games already, I'd still 100% buy this again on Switch. The entire Danganronpa series is so chock-full of twists, turns, and ridiculousness that you can't fully appreciate it from one playthrough alone, and I'd love to take another run at the series on a bigger screen. Let's be real, that Vita screen was too small for reading visual novels.

So, it's likely not true, but keep your fingers crossed. A port of the games would be great, even if it didn't launch on March 23rd or around that time. And if you can't wait that long, check them out on Vita! They're worth digging out the old paperweight for, I promise you.
