Check out Colossatron's abilities to repair, power-up, and anger the military in this new video

Halfbrick has released a new video for upcoming smash-'em-up Colossatron: Massive World Threat, highlighting the snake-like robot's abilities to adapt to military threat.

Cleverly framed as a televised crisis report, Colossatron gameplay is presented here as live news footage.

So, yes, there is a well-turned-out news anchor in this news report. In fact, said news presenter hits General Moustache - gun fetishist and leader of the force against Colossatron -with some facts about the robot's resilience.

Colossatron gets more powerful by collecting "special prisms", we're told. Furthermore, the big ol' snake is strengthened by the damage it causes. A simple RPG-lite level-up system, then.

It's all good fun, though. Though no different from the hollering military men we've seen depicted countless times before, General Moustache does amuse through his sheer uninhibited passion for firepower.

The rolling updates across the bottom of the video provide more chuckles, revealing that three names scientists considered for Colossatron were "Ammoconda", "Boom Dragon", and "Destructosnake".

Halfbrick reckons that we'll see Colossatron (the game) later this year. Watch out.
