Burn the Rope ignites Android for free on GetJar

Big Blue Bubble’s Burn the Rope has arrived on the Android platform, not through the Android Market or on the US-only Amazon Appstore, but exclusively via online service GetJar.

Burn the Rope centres on your ability to correctly work out the most efficient way to, yes, burn ropes.

It’s not quite as easy as lighting one end and watching it all turn to ashes, though, as your intrepid flames can only move upwards along a rope, not downwards.

Its head-scratching ways managed to impress us on iOS back in 2010, with Jon Mundy handing the game a well-deserved Pocket Gamer Bronze Award (while wearing flame retardant mittens).

It may have been a long wait for it to come across to the Google OS, but the good news is that while Burn the Rope on iOS is £1.19, this new Android version is available to download now on GetJar for free.

UPDATE: Please point your Android phone to this link to download the game. It won't work through your desktop web browser.
