2K Games and Gearbox Software have revealed that Borderlands Legends will be blasting onto iPhone and iPad on October 31st.

Though the iOS version inherits the shoot-and-loot-style gameplay from its home console progenitor (mixed with a little strategy 101), this mobile interpretation of the popular cel-shaded franchise plays out from an isometric perspective.

As we reported on Monday, you will take control of Mordecai, Lilith, Brick, and Roland (the stars of the original Borderlands), who set about tearing through Pandora's Skag and Bandit population with an enormous selection of automatic weaponry.

Embracing its RPG roots in a mobile-friendly manner, Borderlands Legends will allow you to manage your inventory, direct characters around the battlefield, and populate your skill tree using "intuitive" touchscreen commands.

You can even shield friendlies from enemy fire via the all-new cover system, and equip your crew using Marcus's vending machines.

You'll be able to swipe Borderlands Legends for the iPhone next Wednesday for £2.99 / $4.99. The iPad version will set you back £4.99 / $6.99.
