Irrational Games creative director Ken Levine has just announced a new BioShock game for Sony's NGP (subsequently confirmed as PlayStation Vita).

Speaking during Sony's E3 press briefing, Levine said the new game was a title "set in the BioShock universe" and was a "pet project" that the company had been working on for a little while.

Nothing else is known about the game so far, with Levine merely confirming its existence at the end of a demonstration of BioShock Infinite on PS3.

But rest assured we'll bring you more news on this exciting new title as soon as it arrives. Even if we have to raid our plasmids cupboard as a way of getting the info out of those responsible.
