Astra will have you guiding the goddess of daylight in a battle against darkness

In Astra, you control the Greek goddess of daylight Hemera as she battles against darkness.

The game is an auto-runner that has you guiding Hemera around space, hopping from planet to planet. In fact, it looks a little like the barrel-shooting sections of Donkey Kong Country.

Judging solely from the gameplay gif below, it seems that Hemera will run around each planet until you tap the screen, launching her at whatever angle she was facing.

The challenge, then, is to collect enough daylight before the timer runs out. And, presumably, to avoid launching Hemera into space.

There are also enemies to avoid on the planets' surfaces and plenty of trinkets to collect. Apparently, you'll discover the mysteries of the universe during your fast-paced travels too.

With its pretty 2D artwork and speedy play, you'll probably want to keep tabs on Astra as it approaches its arrival on iOS this spring. You can do so over on its website.
