Gameloft announces the next instalment in the Asphalt series - Asphalt Xtreme

This week we've been spoiled by Gameloft as they announced the name of the next instalment in their Asphalt series across social media. More than a year after their release of Asphalt Nitro, say hello to Asphalt Xtreme.

The Asphalt series are popular free-to-play racing games bred along the same lines as Need for Speed and everyone's favourite, Burnout. Racing through multiple locations with varying difficulties, you're given four control options: tilt to steer; tilt and icons; on-screen controls; and tap to steer. Obviously the aim of the game is to win gloriously.

Though Gameloft has labelled it as 'coming soon', details are thin on the ground as they're keeping their lips sealed about a potential date. I guess they want to whole thing to be a surprise.
