Asphalt 8: Airborne goes free again, as more cars, cups, and tracks are added

Yesterday, the Gold Award-winning Asphalt 8: Airborne lost its 69p / 99c asking price and is now available for free on the App Store [download].

It also received an update which adds a Clio R.S to the playable car list, and new limited-time cups. The first of which is the Clio R.S. Cup, which runs for ten days and will see the winner receive a real life Clio R.S. as the prize.

On top of that, a multiplayer world series was added, which brings seven new reverse tracks spanning Nevada, Iceland, Tokyo, and more countries.

Tuning Kit, Nitro, and Double Credits boosters were also added to the repertoire, should you want to purchase and use them.

Finishing the update off is the new customizable controls feature, so you no longer have to feel restricted by the touch controls any more. Even better, iOS 7 controller support has been added to Airborne.

This iOS update hasn't rolled out on the Android game as of writing, but it's expected to arrive there soon.
