Virtual Realms has soft-launched its fantasy MMO Warhammer: Odyssey after a period of beta tests on iOS and Android.
It’s an open world MMO set in the Warhammer universe where you journey to iconic locations of the Old World. You can explore the bustling port of Marienberg, the defiled Drakwald Forest and other remarkable locations just like that.
As an MMO, obviously you can play alongside your friends and form Regiments of Renown to tackle tricky monsters, and conquer challenging objectives together to reap rich rewards. You’ll also be able to take your loot to the Auction House to sell and become a Master of Commerce.

In terms of character creation, there are three races to play as: human, elf and dwarf, and you can choose between six classes: Witch Hunter, Archmage, Slayer, Engineer, Shadow Warrior, and Warrior Priest.
These are then split into 12 specialisations that each have dynamic skills and playstyles. You can be a ravaging Slayer seeking the glory of battle, or a simple devout Warrior Priest dedicated to protecting their friends. The choice is ultimately yours.
Warhammer: Odyssey is available now via a global soft-launch on the iOS App Store and the Google Play for Android store, where it is a free to play title containing in-app purchases. If you like playing RPGs on your phone, check out some of our favourites on iOS.
