Clash of Puppets lets you beat the stuffing out of something on iOS or Android

When it comes to hack-and-slash games, the issue of gore is a very delicate one for many developers to approach.

That's why Drakkar Dev decided to ditch the blood effects and go the cute puppet route with its action hack-and-slash platformer Clash of Puppets.

In this off-colour fighter, you play as Charlie - an everyday Joe who just happens to be stuck in a nightmare land full of puppets.

Eager to get back to reality, Charlie grabs an axe, laser gun, and whatever other weapons he can find to help dispatch murderous puppets in the most dramatic ways possible.

Clash of Puppets offers three worlds for players to explore, including an Edo-era Samurai area and a medieval castle. On top of these theme worlds, there's also an infinite survival mode for you to try your puppet-slaying hand at.

Better yet, every hack, slash, and zap is punctuated by a great b-movie onomatopoeia effect like "FRAG!" which recalls the campiness of the old Adam West Batman tv show perfectly.

Additionally, Droidgamers reports that while Clash of Puppets is optimized for touch controls, it also supports MOGA controllers which gives you plenty of slaying options.

If this puppet slaughterhouse looks like it belongs on your iOS or Android device of choice, set $2.99 / £1.99 and head to Google Play or click the button below.
