Bridge-building puzzler Bridgy Jones, from Polish dev Grow App and prolific publisher Chillingo, is more than just a funny name.

It's also witty, fresh, and dangerously addictive.

Your job in this game is to build bridges over gaps and gorges. How? By snapping together bits of wood, lengths of rope, and sections of track. Then, you'll drive a steam engine over your construction and hope the bridge can take the strain.

Each level also features a handful of extracurricular objectives. So, you might be challenged to be faster, be more careful, or be more economical with your support beams.

Those objectives make Bridgy Jones's 32 levels - which are split between a pair of chapters - last even longer. The game's also got some bonus stages, while more chapters are on the way.

I don't want to spoil tomorrow's review of the game, but we might call it "challenging, surprising, and even quite funny".

Bridgy Jones is out at midnight on iPhone and iPad. It will cost you 69p / 99c.
