Rock god Slash records new version of Angry Birds Space theme
Plus, Angry Birds gain 15 new levels
Ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash appears to have swapped his snakepit for a bird's nest, for the poodle-haired one has leant his fretboard skills to a brand-new version of the Angry Birds Space theme tune.
This new song, which you can hear by downloading the latest update for Angry Birds Space, came about after Rovio discovered Slash's love of the series.
Speaking from Rovio HQ (see video below), the wild-haired rock icon said he "really jumped at the chance to get involved" with the bird-flinging franchise.
To honour his contribution to Angry Birds Space, Rovio even created a Slash version of the Red Bird. Nice hat, Red.
In other Rovio-related news, the original Angry Birds has just received its own update.
Though it doesn't feature any musical contributions from crazy-haired guitar heroes, this new firmware does contain 15 extra levels in the Bad Piggies episode pack for you to get stuck into.
Both the Angry Birds Space and Angry Birds updates are available to download for iOS and Android devices right now.
