Pocket Gamer Court: Has the Angry Birds brand run its course?

Order! Pocket Gamer Court is now in session. Judge Jon presiding.

Yes, that's me. Yes, I'm speaking in the third person. Hey, I'm a judge. Pretentiousness is my right... alongside membership of the Bullingdon Club.

Anyway, onto this month's hot topic - is the Angry Birds brand wearing a little thin now?

In the midst of this current drip-feed of information from Rovio concerning the Angry Birds Star Wars tie-in, are you eagerly awaiting the next instalment? Or did you greet the last one with a contemptuous eye roll?

Rovio has built quite a brand out of those rotund birds. I mean, there are seasonal add-ons, fluffy toys, boardgames, animated features, and spin-offs aplenty. But, is the threat of Angry Birds overkill looming?

As is always the way with the Pocket Gamer Court, the evidence for the trial comes from you, the reader. What do YOU think of the Angry Birds brand?

Let us know in the comments section below. After a couple of weeks, Judge Jon will wield his gavel, weigh up your comments, and issue a final judgement.

Previously, we've put in-app purchases and Square Enix's sky-high pricing on trial here at the Pocket Gamer Court. Both have sparked interesting debates.

We'll highlight the best comments for, against, and somewhere in the middle on the Angry Birds brand running its course. So, regardless of your opinion, do share.
