Pokemon Black and White gets perfect score from Famitsu

Despite fan outrages about the new Pokemon games (namely concerning the new starter Pokemon), Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has given the latest title a perfect score.

Games in Famitsu are scored in four main categories, giving an overall score out of 40, with Pokemon Black and White gaining top marks with a cool 40/40.

Previous Pokemon game Diamond and Pearl was awarded 35/40, while Ruby and Sapphire only scored 33/40.

Perfect scores from Famitsu are few and far between, with only 14 games making the grade, including The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time and more recently Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

Whilst Pokemon Black and White is being released on September 18th in Japan, it’s not expected to arrive in the US and Europe until early next year.
