Just a week before the iPad hits store shelves and ships to customers in the UK, EA has released one of its most highly anticipated games onto the British App Store.

Mirror's Edge, a sparkly fresh take on indie classic Canabalt, was one of the most highly regarded titles on the iPad's debut in America, as well as one of the few games that doesn't have an iPhone counterpart.

We were a little worried yesterday when EA put up all of its iPad games sans Mirror's Edge, but Faith and her gravity defying plimsolls were just being fashionably late.

The game features head to head multiplayer with friends and a 14 level single player campaign. Mirror's Edge is available to download now, exclusively on iPad, for £7.49 / $12.99 / €10.49.
